our history

Heavy G Productions started early in my childhood when I fell in love with the concept mixing sound for bands, my favorite being classic rock and country.  As a young guy wacthing the bands fill stadiums and seeing all of the cool gear you got to play with really excited me.  I mean linkin logs only go so far.  Years later I was able to watch a sound guy at work, I was hooked again.  I started volunteering for my churches youth band and really got the bug for sound, lighting and video.  In those days i was the person who created the atmosphere, have the sound playing just right and the lights set to the correct colors, I mean who could ask for more.

A friend later asked me to help them do sound for a wedding, I accepted and got paid $150 now I was making money doing what I loved.  I soon helped with wedding after wedding and it was time to take a leap of faith and start a company.  Remember I'm in my early 20's, ambitious and fresh out of college.  My first obstoacle was the name, I mean you have to have a cool name if your going to stay in business for any length of time, I thought and thought about it and then... a good friend of mine was introducing me to a new group and called me Heavy G! At the time I didn't know that it would stick like it did, that's how I came up with Heavy G Productions.

Now I have a sweet name, at least I think I do, now its time to go have some fun. Well over 10 years later Heavy G Productions has grown to a full service event productions and vidoegraphy company with a team of highly skilled professional that love to have fun and get paid for doing it.  We have one of the best jobs in the world.

We have been blessed to do business and special events for many highly recognized companies.  You can see our marketing deck here to see more of the companies we have supported and partnered with in past years.
